One of the vessels is scheduled to berth on tomorrow.
Two vessels carrying a combined 68,000 tonnes of diesel arrived at Chattogram Port on 14 April as part of efforts to strengthen fuel supplies.
Port officials and shipping agents said one of the vessels was heading towards Dolphin Jetty this morning (15 April) after partially unloading, while the other is scheduled to berth tomorrow.
The Indonesian-flagged tanker Lucia Solis, carrying 34,991 tonnes of diesel from Malaysia, reached the outer anchorage around 5pm on Tuesday.
Another vessel, Torm Damini, sailing under the Danish flag, arrived last night with 32,935 tonnes of diesel, also from Malaysia.
Nazrul Islam, managing partner of Pride Shipping, told The Business Standard that Lucia Solis was scheduled to berth at Dolphin Jetty by 12:30pm.
"Lightering operations are underway from another ship, Torm Damini, which is likely to berth today," he said, adding that each vessel will take around two days to complete unloading.
Earlier in the day, MT Great Princess arrived at the port carrying 12,000 tonnes of jet fuel from Singapore.
