2 'Karim Sharif' gang members held with arms in Sundarbans

The Bangladesh Coast Guard (West Zone) in Mongla detained two members of the "Karim Sharif pirate gang" with arms and ammunition during an operation in the Sundarbans early today (29 November).
The detainees were identified as Faruk Bepari, 30, and Imdadul Bepari, 27, both from Mongla upazila.
"We detained two members of the gang with weapons and ammunition during the raid. Legal procedures are underway, and the process of handing them over to Mongla Police Station is in progress," said Lt Khalid Saifullah of the Coast Guard.
Acting on a tip-off, a Coast Guard team conducted the raid in the Bhaizora canal area near the Pasur River, where the two suspects were detained.
