2 corporate directors set to enlarge stake in Envoy Textiles
According to the disclosure, Cosmopolitan Industries (Pvt) Ltd, a corporate director of Envoy Textiles, intends to purchase 1.80 lakh shares of the company from the public market.
Cosmopolitan Industries and Epic Garments Manufacturing Company, two corporate directors of Envoy Textiles, are set to raise their stakes in the textile firm through purchases from the secondary market.
Today (30 December), through separate disclosures, both directors expressed their intention to buy shares at the prevailing market price through the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) within the next 30 working days.
According to the disclosure, Cosmopolitan Industries (Pvt) Ltd, a corporate director of Envoy Textiles, intends to purchase 1.80 lakh shares of the company from the public market.
The market value of these shares stands at Tk87.30 lakh, considering Envoy Textiles' market price of Tk48.50 per share on the DSE.
Meanwhile, Epic Garments Manufacturing Company, another corporate director of Envoy Textiles, has expressed its intention to buy 2.22 lakh shares of the company, valued at Tk1.07 crore.
According to the annual report for FY25, EPIC Garments Manufacturing Company currently till June 2025 owns 44.40 lakh shares equivalent to 2.65% of total holding.
While Cosmopolitan Industries Pvt Limited owns 36 lakh shares or equivalent to 2.15% stake of the company.
Envoy Textile got listed on the bourse and now its shares trading under the A category.
In FY25, it made a profit of Tk140.89 crore with an earnings per share of Tk8.40, and it had paid a 30% cash dividend for its shareholders.
Out of its total shares, Sponsor-directors held 65.18%, institutional investors 21.43%, foreign 0.12% and the general shareholder held 13.27% as of November 2025.
