19 Chhatra League leaders sued over Abrar killing 

A murder case was filed against 19 Chhatra League men of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet) unit over the brutal murder of Abrar Fahad.

Abrar's father Barkat Ullah filed the case last night with Chawkbazar police station.

The accused are Mehedi Hasan Rasel, Muhtasim Fuad, Monir Sarker, Mehedi Hasan Robin, Efti Mosharraf Sokal, Moniruzzaman Monir, Meftahul Islam Zion, Majedul Islam, Mujahidul, Tanvir Ahmed, Hossain Md Toha, Md Jisan, Md Akash, Shamim Billah, Sadat, Tanim, Morshed, Muaj and Jemi.

All of them are the leaders and activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League, Buet unit.

Nine people have been arrested so far over the murder.  

In the case statement, Barkat Ullah alleged the accused killed his son torturing him brutally for hours.

Abrar Fahad, 21, a resident of Sher-e-Bangla Hall and a second year student of Buet was beaten to death on Monday by some Chhatra League men over alleged Shibir affiliation.
