A total of 17 station offices and 37 units of two ranges under the Sundarbans West Forest Division were partially damaged as cyclone Bulbul lashed the coastal belt of the country on Sunday.
There have been no reports of huge damage and deaths of wildlife so far.
The Bangladesh Forest Department has started working to assess the damage caused to the world's largest mangrove forest by the cyclonic storm.
Divisional Forest Officer (west) Boshirul Al Mamun said, "This time the cyclone did not affect the Sundarbans as much as did cyclone Sidr."
There has been a ban on tourists' entering the forest for the last four days due to the cyclone. The Sundarbans will be re-opened to tourists from Tuesday, November 12.
