131 Awami League leaders, activists held over flash processions in Dhaka

Police have arrested 131 leaders and activists of the banned Awami League and its affiliated organisations in Dhaka over the past 24 hours for allegedly taking part in sudden flash processions across the capital.
The arrests were made from different areas under several police stations throughout the day on (21 October), Dhaka Metropolitan Police said in a press release.
Among those arrested, six were held by Uttara East Police Station, two by Uttara west, 24 by Gulshan Police Station, four by Khilkhet, three by Cantonment Police Station, six by Dhanmondi, six by New Market, three by Shahbagh, eight by Mohammadpur Police Station, one by Hatirjheel, six by Paltan, and 40 by Motijheel Police Station.
Additionally, the Detective Branch (DB) Wari arrested 22 individuals.
