12th national SME fair to feature banker-entrepreneur matchmaking to ease financing

The SME Foundation will host the 12th National SME Product Fair from 4-11 November 2025 at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre in Dhaka. This year, the foundation is planning to arrange a banker-entrepreneur matchmaking event aiming to facilitate easier access to financing for SMEs.
In a preparatory meeting with representatives of SME chambers and associations, it was revealed that 850 entrepreneurs from various sectors have already applied to participate, with final selections to be made after a verification process.
In a press release today, the Foundation announced that the fair will feature over 300 stalls exclusively for SMEs offering 100% locally produced products, with imported items not permitted.
Attendees will have access to a Secretariat, Media Centre, Blood Donation Centre, Buyer-Seller Meeting Booth, and stalls from government and semi-government institutions, including BITAC, BSTI, BICIC, BSCIC, BSEC, ZDPC, BCSIR, as well as banks and financial institutions.
Since 2012, the National SME Product Fair has helped promote and expand SME products, create local and international market opportunities, foster networking among entrepreneurs, connect consumers with producers, and gather stakeholder feedback through seminars and discussions.
In previous fairs, nearly 2,500 SMEs sold products worth approximately Tk44 crore and received orders totaling around Tk73 crore, highlighting the event's significant impact on the SME sector.
The meeting, chaired by SME Foundation Chairperson, Md. Musfiqur Rahman included addresses by Managing Director Anwar Hossain Chowdhury and Board Director Samim Ahmed, while Vice-Managing Director Md. Nazim Hasan Sattar delivered the welcome remarks.
Rahman emphasised that the fair is organised for the entrepreneurs, with the Foundation providing full support to meet their needs and suggestions.
