10 journalists awarded tourism media fellowship
As part of the fellowship, each journalist was awarded a certificate and an honorarium cheque

Ten journalists from various media outlets have been awarded the 'Tourism Media Fellowship 2025' in recognition of their contributions through reporting on the challenges and prospects of the country's tourism sector.
The awards were presented today (25 August) at the Bangladesh Tourism Board conference room in Agargaon, Dhaka.
Among the recipients was Kamran Siddiqui, senior staff correspondent at The Business Standard, along with journalists from electronic, online, and print media platforms.
Other fellowship recipients include Imrul Kayes (Bangla Mail), Abdullah Mozumder (Banglavision), Yasin Rana Sohel (Parbatya Chattogram), Masud Rumi (Kaler Kantho), Jasim Harun (The Financial Express), Md. Naeem Ul Hasan (Ekhon Television), Shafiullah Sumon (Bangladesh Television) Niyamul Azij Sadik (NTV) and Kajal Abdullah (Somoy TV).
As part of the fellowship, each journalist was awarded a certificate and an honorarium cheque, presented by Saleha Binte Siraj, director of the Tourism Board and joint secretary.
The event was also attended by other officials from the Tourism Board and representatives from the Aviation and Tourism Journalists' Forum of Bangladesh (ATJFB), including its President Tanjim Anwar and General Secretary Baten Biplob.
At the event, the Bangladesh Tourism Board emphasised the need for greater media engagement in the development and promotion of the country's tourism sector.
Under this fellowship programme, the awarded journalists produced 30 in-depth reports highlighting various issues, opportunities, and policy aspects of the tourism industry.
