10 injured as car hits awaiting passengers at Kurmitola
The police have seized the car and the driver of the vehicle has been detained

At least 10 people were injured after a private car hit them when they were waiting for bus at the capital's Kurmitola bus stop today.
The injured were taken to Kurmitola General Hospital initially and later six of them were shifted to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) in critical condition.
Kazi Shahan Haque Kazi Shahnawaz, officer in-charge of Cantonment Police Station, said, "Eight to 10 people were injured in the accident. Four injured were sent to Kurmitola Hospital and six critically injured people were sent to DMCH."
The police have seized the car and the driver of the vehicle has been detained.
Earlier, two students of Shaheed Rameez Uddin Cantonment College were killed when a bus of Jabal-E Noor Paribahan Limited ran them over around the same spot on July 29, 2018. The deceased students are Abdul Karim and Diya Khanam Mim. The accident sparked a massive road safety movement across the country.
