6 killed in Dhaka, Madaripur as police fire rubber bullets during clashes with protesters
Protesters vowed to continue until their demands for quota reforms and an end to police brutality are met

At least six people have been killed in Dhaka's Uttara, Badda and Savar bus stand areas, and Madaripur amid clashes between students and police during today's quota reform protests.
Two people have been killed in Dhaka's Uttara area amid ongoing clashes with Northern University students and police in the area.
They were brought to Bangladesh Medical College, Uttara Branch's emergency section where they succumbed to death, confirmed the emergency section's Nurse Supervisor Shahida Begum.
Of the deceased, one has been identified as a Northern University student.
"Asif, a fourth-semester student of the English Department of the university has died in the clash," a professor of Northern University told TBS on condition of anonymity.
Further details about the incident could not be confirmed immediately.
Another person was killed in clashes between police and private university students in Badda and Rampura area.
The deceased was identified as Dulal Matbor, a Hiace driver who was crossing the area at the time.
Doctors declared him dead after he was rushed to the Farazy Hospital, Rubel Hossain, deputy general manager of the hospital told TBS.
Rubel Hossain also said at least 200-300 people have received treatment at the hospital.
Another student of Military Institute of Science and Technology died in Savar bus stand area.
Our Savar correspondent reported that the student got on top of a police APC van and police shot him with pellets. He was taken to Enam Medical College and Hospital where he was confirmed dead, confirmed the duty manager Yousuf Ali.
In Madaripur, Dipto Hawlader, a second-year student of Madaripur Govt College, jumped i nto a lake in Madaripur during a chase and counter-chase between the protestors and law enforcers. His body was later recovered from the water.
A student of Dhaka Residential Model College has been killed during quota reform protests in the capital, a teach of the school confirmed TBS.
Nazia Khan, the student's mother also posted a status about the issue.
Taking to Facebook, she wrote, "They killed my child Farhan Faiyaaz. He was not even 18- years-old. I want justice for Farhan Faiyaz #justiceforFarhan. He was born on 12th September 2006. I want all of you to shout at the top of your lungs."
