Upcoming election most crucial in Bangladesh's history: Salahuddin
Calling on voters to cast their ballots for the BNP’s “sheaf of paddy” symbol in the 12 February election, Salahuddin says democracy, the people, and freedom in Bangladesh can only be protected under BNP’s leadership.
BNP Standing Committee member and candidate for the Cox's Bazar-1 (Chakaria–Pekua) Salahuddin Ahmed has said the upcoming national election is the most important in Bangladesh's history, as the next parliament will play a decisive role in shaping the country's democratic future.
Speaking at a rally at the North Kakara Government Primary School ground in Chakaria today (27 January), the BNP senior leader said, "The parliament elected through the next polls will enact the highest number of laws and constitutional amendments in the country's history to protect people's rights, strengthen democracy, and ensure security."
Calling on voters to cast their ballots for the BNP's "sheaf of paddy" symbol in the 12 February election, the Cox's Bazar-1 candidate said democracy, the people, and freedom in Bangladesh can only be protected under BNP's leadership.
Addressing members of the Sanatan community at the rally, Salahuddin said BNP has consistently ensured religious freedom and security whenever it was in power.
"Religion belongs to individuals, but the right to security belongs to everyone. Whenever BNP has been in state power, it has safeguarded the religious freedom and security of the Sanatan community," he added.
The rally was attended by local BNP leaders, activists, and supporters from the area.
