Cumilla-6: Jamaat candidate seeks vote suspension over rigging allegations

The Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami candidate for Cumilla-6, Kazi Deen Mohammad, has sought suspension of voting at several polling stations, alleging ballot rigging, centre takeovers and other irregularities.
He submitted a written complaint to the returning officer and the deputy commissioner of Cumilla, formally requesting that voting at the specified centres be halted.
In his complaint, he cited irregularities observed at the following polling centres in his constituency: Alexander Memorial High School (Centre No 19), Shishu Kalyan Government Primary School (26), Champaknagar Government Primary School (28), Champaknagar Madinatul Ulum Madrasa (29), Bamail School and College (53), Bakhrabad Gas Adarsha High School (69), Ishak Government Primary School (96), Katabil Government Primary School (118), Telikona Government Primary School (122 and 123), Housing Estate Government Primary School and School and College (126 and 127), Chouwara Madrasa (128), Chouwara Girls' High School (129), Tarapaiya Government Primary School (132), Ballavpur Government Primary School (136), Shubhpur Monowara Lower Secondary School (159) and Balrampur Government Primary School (161).
The complaint also notes that despite repeated attempts to seek action, no effective measure was taken.
