10 newly elected MPs linked to real estate business
Those newly elected MPs are all from the BNP.
Ten members of parliament elected in the 13th National Parliamentary Election are involved in the real estate business.
In a statement today (16 February), the Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB) congratulated the winning MPs.
REHAB said it expects these MPs, who are associated with the housing sector, to take effective initiatives to resolve long-standing policy complexities, reform the tax structure, improve urban planning, implement the Detailed Area Plan (DAP), and address complications related to utility connections and approval processes.
However, the organisation did not disclose the names of the elected MPs.
According to information received from sector insiders, the newly elected MPs from the housing sector are Mostafizur Rahman Bhuiyan from Narayanganj-1, Muhammad Fakhrul Islam from Noakhali-5, Kazi Rafiqul Islam from Bogura-1, Barrister AM Mahbub Uddin Khokon from Noakhali-1, Manjur Elahi from Narsingdi-3, Advocate Mazibor Rahman Sarwar from Barishal-5, Sheikh Rabiul Islam from Dhaka-10, Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain from Cumilla-1, and Rafiqul Islam Hilaly from Netrokona-3.
All of them were BNP-nominated candidates.
