Iran Revolutionary Guards spokesperson Naini killed in strike: State TV
Naini’s death was reported only hours after local media highlighted his warnings of further escalation
The spokesperson for Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and its deputy of public relations, Ali Mohammad Naini, has been killed in strikes launched by the US and Israel, Iranian state TV reported today (20 March).
Naini's death was reported only hours after local media highlighted his warnings of further escalation, reports Al Jazeera.
"Our missile industry deserves a perfect score, and there is no cause for concern. Even under wartime conditions, we continue missile production," Fars News Agency quoted Naini as saying shortly before reports of his death emerged.
Naini also said that Iran's missile production was continuing uninterrupted even in wartime and that the country had ample stockpiles with no reason for concern.
He added, "The missile industry has reached its highest levels. There are surprises coming for the enemy, and as the battles progress, they will become more complex and intense."
