"We came together to support Spain because it has stood by the Palestinian people for years," said Numan Abdullah, a Gaza resident who watched the final at a cafe in the Nuseirat refugee camp.

Many Gazans said they backed Spain in recognition of Madrid's long-standing support for the Palestinian people.
"We are a people who seek peace," Abdullah added, noting that the gathering was a message of solidarity with nations that support Palestinians.
Spain secured its second men's World Cup title with the extra-time win, adding to its 2010 triumph. Argentina, champions in Qatar in 2022, failed to retain the title.
