West Bengal assembly polls: Mamata Banerjee loses Bhabanipur seat to BJP's Suvendu Adhikari

India's West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today (4 May) lost the assembly elections from Bhabanipur constituency in south Kolkata by a margin of 15,105 votes.
The three-time chief minister was defeated by her former TMC colleague and BJP's leader of the opposition Suvendu Adhikari, EC sources said.
An official announcement by the Election Commission is awaited after completion of 14 rounds of counting.
