A man was arrested after he shouted "Death to America, death to Trump" and "Allahu Akbar" during a flight operated by British airline EasyJet, prompting an emergency landing on Sunday (27 July), reports BBC.
The incident took place on a flight from England's Luton to Glasgow Airport in Scotland.
The passenger was identified as Abhay Nayak, 41, who is believed to be of Indian origin.
According to BBC, he made a bomb threat and began shouting mid-flight. A video of the incident, which later spread on social media, shows two other passengers restraining him on the cabin floor after the outburst.
Following the disruption, the pilot conducted an emergency landing at Glasgow Airport, and Nayak was taken into custody by Scotland police around 8:20am local time.
Police said the Counter Terrorism unit reviewed footage of the incident but did not press any terrorism-related charges.
In a statement, Scotland police said, "We received a report of a disturbance on board a flight that landed at Glasgow around 8:20am on Sunday (27 July). We believe the incident was contained and no one else was involved."
Nayak was produced before Paisley Sheriff Court on charges of assault and endangering aircraft safety.
Nayak remains in police custody and is scheduled to appear in court again next week, as he did not enter any plea.
