How protesters attacked Nepal ministers, set Parliament and Supreme Court on fire
Protesters set on fire the Nepalese leader's private house, attacked the residences of President Paudel, former PM Pushpa, communication minister, former home minister Ramesh Lekhak, and former PM Sher Bahadur Deuba and his wife. They also chased down Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad.
Nepal's Gen Z protesters on Tuesday (9 September) vandalised the private residences of President Ramchandra Paudel, (now resigned) Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and chased Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel down the street.
A video surfaced on social media in which Bishnu Prasad Paudel was chased on a road and thrashed by demonstrators, reports The Times of India.
In the video, over two dozen people were seen chasing while Paudel was running for his life. A man was seen kicking and others beating him up.
In another video shared on social media, former prime minister and Nepali Congress president Sher Bahadur Deuba and his wife, current foreign minister Arju Rana Deuba, appeared to be injured as their residence was attacked by protesters.
The extent of their injuries remains unclear.
Nepalese Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli resigned in the face of massive anti-government protests. Oli stepped down shortly after hundreds of agitators entered his office shouting slogans demanding his resignation for the death of at least 19 people in police action during the protests on Monday.
However, earlier in the day, hours before Oli's resignation, the protesters set on fire the Nepalese leader's private house in Balkot, and attacked residences of former PM Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Communication minister Prithvi Subba Gurung, and former home minister Ramesh Lekhak, among others.
The protesters also attacked the private residence of President Paudel.
Another video on social media showed protesters vandalising and torching Nepal's Parliament, while the Supreme Court building in Kathmandu was also set ablaze by demonstrators.

Army helicopters ferried some ministers to safe places
The agitators under the banner of Gen Z, shouted slogans such as "KP Chor, Desh Chhod" (KP thief, leave the country) and "Take Action Against Corrupt Leaders".
Protesters also torched the residence of former home minister Ramesh Lekhak at Naikap in Kathmandu, just a day after he resigned from his post, according to officials.
