UN removes Ahmed al-Shara's name from 'terrorist' list
The United Nations Security Council has lifted sanctions on Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa. The United States has also removed Sharaa's name from its terrorist sanctions list. The decision was made on November 7, just days before his meeting with US President Donald Trump in Washington on November 10. As a result, there is no longer any obstacle to his visit to the White House.
