Trump threatens military action in Nigeria
US President Donald Trump has threatened military action in Nigeria over attacks on Christians, accusing the country of being a haven for extremists. He said the US could cut off aid and launch a swift and brutal offensive if the government does not take swift action. Trump claimed that thousands of Christians have been killed in attacks by Islamist extremists. The Nigerian government has yet to respond. Human rights groups say that not only religion but also security, political instability and social inequality are responsible for the violence.
