Trump announces 30% tariffs on European Union and Mexico

US President Donald Trump has announced a 30 percent tariff on goods imported into the United States from the European Union and Mexico, which will take effect from August 1. Trump made the announcement in a post on his social media platform 'Truth Social' on July 12. The EU has reacted strongly to Trump's announcement.
