On the first day of the Bengali New Year, Pohela Boishakh, various parts of the country witnessed intense sunshine and heat. A mild heat wave swept over Rajshahi, Pabna, Sirajganj, Jessore, Chuadanga and Kushtia. The Meteorological Department said that this heat wave will continue on April 15 and its spread may increase further.
