Police arrest former secretary Bhuiyan Shafiqul Islam

This time, the police have arrested former secretary Bhuiyan Shafiqul Islam. Bhuiyan Shafiqul has also been arrested in the same case in which former Awami League presidium member Abdul Latif Siddiqui was sent to jail on charges of 'anti-government conspiracy'. Dhaka Metropolitan Police announced in a message on September 9 that seven leaders and activists of the banned Awami League and its affiliated organizations, including Bhuiyan Shafiqul Islam, were arrested.
