Renowned photographer, activist, and founder of Drik Gallery Shahidul Alam shared his harrowing experience of being detained by Israeli authorities after joining the Gaza Freedom Flotilla, during a press briefing held in Dhaka today (11 October).

Speaking to journalists, Alam recounted the events surrounding his detention, treatment by Israeli forces, and his subsequent release with Turkish assistance.
