Many disappointed with election timing announcement: Mirza Fakhrul
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said that some people were disappointed after the election announcement in February. He said to them, "They are disappointed... disappointed. Those who are disappointed remain disappointed throughout their lives." Mirza Fakhrul Islam said this in response to a question at a press conference at the party chairperson's office in Gulshan, the capital, on August 6. BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed was also present at the press conference. Regarding the dissatisfaction of some political parties over the election announcement, he said, "They have not yet made a formal announcement, they have given immediate reactions. We hope they will clear the way for the transition to democracy with a positive outlook."
