The High Court has dismissed a writ petition seeking a stay on the gazette notification issued by the Election Commission (EC) declaring BNP leader Ishraq Hossain as the mayor of Dhaka South City Corporation. Ishraq's supporters celebrating in the Matsya Bhaban area after the high court's verdict.
