Joy acknowledges 'some initial mistakes'
Sajeeb Wazed Joy, son of Bangladesh's ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, has rejected a United Nations report claiming that up to 1,400 people were killed during last year's mass uprising, saying the actual number was closer to 800. In an interview with The Associated Press published Wednesday, Joy acknowledged "some initial mistakes" by the Hasina-led government during the protests but insisted that the figures reported by the UN were inflated.
