Russian drone hits Railway near Polish border after diplomatic train passes
A Russian jet-propelled drone struck a train engine at Yahodyn railway station in western Ukraine, just 2 kilometres from the Polish border. The attack came shortly after European officials, including Boris Johnson and Jonathan Powell, had travelled through the railway corridor.
No casualties were reported after passengers were evacuated 15 minutes before the strike. Ukraine said the diplomatic train was likely the intended target, while Russia said it targeted railway infrastructure. The incident has triggered concern in Ukraine and Poland over escalating attacks near the European border.
