Why did the first Russia-Ukraine peace talks collapse?
The first trilateral peace talks between Russia, Ukraine and the United States in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, have ended without any major breakthroughs. The atmosphere for the talks has also become unstable as the war has intensified in the midst of the talks. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that a second round of talks is possible early next week. The next meeting will be held in Abu Dhabi on February 1, a US official said. Russia has also said that Moscow is ready for talks.
