Israel and Russia presented two major challenges to US President Donald Trump's diplomacy in the space of just 24 hours on September 9. On the one hand, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu carried out an airstrike on the Hamas office in Doha, the capital of Qatar, while on the other hand, Russian President Vladimir Putin intruded a drone into the airspace of NATO member Poland.
