Globally, TikTok removed a total of 204,534,932 videos during the quarter, representing approximately 0.7% of all content uploaded to the platform. Of these, 186,608,081 videos were identified and removed through automated detection technologies, underscoring TikTok's growing reliance on machine learning systems to detect harmful content at scale.
After further review, 8,950,735 videos were reinstated, indicating the platform's use of additional checks to prevent erroneous removals. TikTok reported a global proactive removal rate of 99.3%, with 94.8% of flagged content removed within 24 hours.

Misinformation and AI-generated content among top violations
The report shows that misinformation and manipulated content accounted for a significant share of removed videos. Of the total content taken down globally, 32.9% was flagged as misinformation, while 34.4% involved edited media or AI-generated content, reflecting the growing challenge of moderating synthetic and altered media.
Another 30% of removed videos contained sensitive or mature themes that did not comply with TikTok's content standards. Meanwhile, 15.7% violated safety and civility policies, including harassment and hate-related issues, and 2.7% breached privacy and security guidelines.
TikTok said the regular publication of its Community Guidelines Enforcement Report is part of its broader commitment to transparency and accountability, offering insights into how the platform moderates content and enforces its rules.
The company encourages users, researchers and policymakers to review the full report and learn more about its content moderation tools, policies and enforcement practices through TikTok's Transparency Center, which is available in both Bangla and English.
TikTok said it will continue to refine its enforcement systems and safety measures to maintain a positive user experience while adapting to emerging challenges, including misinformation and AI-generated content.
