Nationwide protests erupt demanding justice for Ramisa

Teachers, students, and guardians demonstrated in the capital's Mirpur-11 today (21 May), demanding exemplary punishment for those responsible for the rape and murder of eight-year-old Ramisa Akter, a student of Popular Model High School in Pallabi. They brought out a procession from in front of the building where Ramisa’s family lives and marched through several roads in the area. Students participating in the rally were seen carrying placards reading “We Want Justice” and “Justice for Ramisa”.
