Is the Masked Finfoot Asia’s next avian extinction?

A new paper published in the UK-based ornithological journal, Forktail: Journal of  Asian Ornithology revealed a very small, still declining global population of the Masked Finfoot

Whales around the world in real and imminent danger

A dead Irrawaddy dolphin washed ashore in the Bay of Bengal on a sunny morning. A local man grabbed it by the tail and brought it out of the water. The dead mammal lay on the sandy beach and became a reason of curiosity for tourists. A child watched it from afar, perhaps wondering how a “fish” can be out of the water. Another family walked past it taking quick glances. A group of youth took photos of it, while a couple on a motorbike posed with the dead mammal. Photo: Aninda Kabir Avik
