Soumya ruled out of Pakistan series, Miraz drafted in as replacement

Soumya Sarkar has been ruled out of Bangladesh's upcoming T20I series against Pakistan due to a back injury, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed on 22 May.
The left-handed batter had already missed the recently concluded three-match series against the UAE, and further medical assessments have revealed that he will need 10 to 12 more days to recover.
"Following a medical examination, we've found that his injury needs around 10 to 12 days to heal," said national team physio Bayjedul Islam in a statement released by the BCB. "As a result, he won't be available for the Pakistan series."

All-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz has been named as his replacement. Conveniently for the selectors, Miraz is already in Pakistan representing Lahore Qalandars in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL).
The revised fixture for the Pakistan tour was finalised just two days ago. The first T20I will be played on 28 may, followed by the second on 30 may and the final match on 1 june.
Originally, the tour was set to feature five T20Is beginning on 25 may in Faisalabad. However, the series was trimmed to three matches due to the rescheduling of the PSL. The final of the postponed PSL season is now set for 25 may in Lahore, and Pakistan will face Bangladesh only two days later.
The tour had also faced uncertainty due to rising tensions between India and Pakistan, but with a ceasefire now in place, the series is expected to go ahead without further disruption.
