Amidst the struggles of his teammates, Sohan played a lone hand with a superb knock, registering his highest List A score. Shadman ended a near seven-year wait for a List A hundred. Meanwhile, newcomers Gulshan Sporting Club clinched their second straight win, defeating Partex Sporting Club.

Shadman Islam and Nurul Hasan Sohan both struck unbeaten centuries to guide their respective teams to victory.
Amidst the struggles of his teammates, Sohan played a lone hand with a superb knock, registering his highest List A score. His innings powered Dhanmondi Sports Club to a formidable total, before Sanjamul Islam and Kamrul Islam starred with the ball to secure a much-needed win.
In another match of the Dhaka Premier League on 16 march, Shadman ended a near seven-year wait for a List A hundred. His unbeaten century steered Agrani Bank Cricket Club to a third consecutive victory. Meanwhile, newcomers Gulshan Sporting Club clinched their second straight win, defeating Partex Sporting Club.
Sohan's century leads Dhanmondi to victory
At BKSP's third ground, Dhanmondi Sports Club returned to winning ways after two defeats, cruising to a 97-run win over Shinepukur Cricket Club. Chasing 278, Shinepukur were bundled out for 180.
This was Dhanmondi's third win in five matches, while Shinepukur remained with just one victory.
Sohan played a pivotal role in setting up the win, smashing an unbeaten 132—his highest List A score. The wicketkeeper-batter had previously scored the same amount in the 2022 Premier League against Rupganj Tigers.
Dhanmondi, opting to bat first, suffered early blows, losing three wickets inside the powerplay. Habibur Rahman got a start but fell for 45 off 42 balls.
Sohan then rebuilt the innings with Sanjamul, putting on a 113-run stand for the fourth wicket. Sanjamul contributed 40 off 54 balls before departing.
Taking control of the innings, Sohan reached his fifth List A century off 114 balls and finished unbeaten on 132 from 131 deliveries, hitting 13 fours and four sixes.
Shinepukur struggled in reply, losing wickets at regular intervals. Rahim Ahmed and Minhajul Abedin shared a 69-run partnership for the fourth wicket, with Rahim top-scoring with 42 and Minhajul adding 35. However, none of the other batters could make an impact.
After his valuable innings, Sanjamul delivered with the ball as well, picking up four wickets, while Kamrul claimed three to seal the win for Dhanmondi.
Shadman's century inspires Agrani Bank's third straight win
At BKSP's fourth ground, Agrani Bank Cricket Club eased to a seven-wicket victory over Rupganj Tigers Cricket Club, successfully chasing down a 261-run target with 31 balls to spare.
The win marked Agrani Bank's third consecutive triumph, taking their tally to four victories in five matches. In contrast, Rupganj Tigers suffered their fifth straight defeat.
Shadman was the architect of the win, remaining unbeaten on 115. His last List A century had come in the 2018 Premier League when he made a career-best 144 for Shinepukur Cricket Club.
Rupganj Tigers, asked to bat first, lost Abdul Mazid early but recovered through a 124-run stand between Amit Majumder and Asadullah Al Galib.
However, their scoring rate remained slow. Amit took 111 balls to score 81, striking five fours and four sixes, while Galib managed 57 off 77 with five boundaries and a six.
Lower down the order, Al Amin Junior (32 off 39) and Ariful Haque (40 off 31) added vital runs, taking the team past 200. But a late collapse saw them lose six wickets for just 35 runs.
Left-arm pacer Ruel Mia was the pick of the bowlers, taking three wickets.
Agrani Bank made a positive start in the chase, with Imranuzzaman and Shadman putting on 50 inside six overs. Imranuzzaman made a brisk 28 off 20 balls before falling.
Shadman then shared an 86-run stand with Imrul Kayes, who smashed 62 off 58 balls with four fours and five sixes.
After Imrul's dismissal, Amit Hasan departed cheaply, but Shadman saw his team home alongside Marshall Ayub in an unbroken 81-run partnership.
The left-handed opener reached his fifty off 57 balls and accelerated to his century in just 38 more deliveries. His unbeaten 115 came off 108 balls, including 11 fours and two sixes.
Gulshan claim back-to-back wins with dominant display
At Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Gulshan Sporting Club secured a 57-run win over Partex Sporting Club, defending a total of 221 to register their second consecutive victory.
Gulshan's third win in five matches contrasted with Partex's continued struggles, as they managed just one victory in the same number of games.
Batting first after losing the toss, Gulshan struggled apart from Azizul Hakim, who registered his maiden List A fifty, scoring 62 off 79 balls.
Liton Kumar Das, batting at number three, took 37 balls for his 22, while Iftikhar Hossain (32), Nayeem Islam (27), Mehedi Hasan (23), and Elias Sunny (21) made small contributions to push the total past 200.
The target ultimately proved too much for Partex, who failed to mount a serious challenge in the chase. The highest scorer for them was Robiul Islam with 30, while Sabbir Rahman once again struggled, managing only 4.
Gulshan's bowling attack shared the spoils, with Asaduzzaman Payel, Nihad Uz Zaman, and Nayeem Islam all taking two wickets each.
