Shakib Al Hasan's parents visit Tamim in hospital, wishes for his recovery

The friendship between Tamim Iqbal and Shakib Al Hasan is an old story. There was some tension in their relationship for a while, but yesterday, when Tamim was admitted to the hospital after suffering a heart attack, Shakib posted a message on social media, addressing him as 'brother' and 'friend', wishing for his speedy recovery.

Today, Shakib's parents, Mashroor Reza and Shirin Akter, came to visit Tamim at the KPG Specialised Hospital in Gazipur. They met Tamim and his family at the hospital.

A journalist then asked Mashroor Reza, Shakib's father, how he felt seeing Tamim in this condition, considering Tamim is like his son. Interrupting the journalist, Mashroor said, "Not like my son... Tamim's father is my playing friend. Iqbal Bhai is my playing friend. My relationship with his father goes back even before Tamim's mother's marriage."

Yesterday, Tamim came to play a match against Shinepukur at BKSP. Later, feeling unwell, he was admitted to the hospital. After the heart attack, a ring has been placed in his artery. Speaking about Tamim's condition, Mashroor said, "Tamim is fine. He will be able to go home very soon. I don't know if Shakib has spoken to him."

Mashroor then added, "What else is there to do but pray? I saw Tamim, and I prayed for him. I prayed for him in namaz yesterday as well."
