On the day, Zimbabwe skipper Sean Williams won the toss and opted to field first. But since then, Liton and Tamim made them pay as they put up the highest opening stand for Bangladesh in ODIs.
Liton reached his ton off 114 deliveries, hitting 13 fours. This was his third ODI hundred and second of this series. Liton had scored 126 in the first match and was set for a bigger score but had to retire hurt because of cramp.
Tamim was on 79 off 84 deliveries when rain struck and the stand had reached 182.
