Rain delays toss at Bristol as Bangladesh and Sri Lanka wait
The World Cup match between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka has been delayed due to persistent rain, and the teams wait for the toss.

The biggest fear of the spectators has come true, as the toss has been delayed for rain. Bangladesh team is yet to arrive at the venue, as they wait for the conditions to improve.
Rain is playing hide and seek, and it's hiding right now. The umpires are out for the inspection, and the audience should have their fingers crossed, because the rain is annoying and it can return any moment.
The umpires have inspected and if the rain stays hidden till 17:15 BST, they will be out for another inspection. And the good news is, if it doesn't start again by that time, the game will begin after the inspection. The bad news is, we'll start to lose overs from 16:50 BST. So, it's quite obvious that we'll not be having a full 50 over match.

Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are set to face each other in their fourth match of the tournament. Bangladesh beat South Africa in their inaugural match of the tournament, but has suffered two defeats in a row to New Zealand and England respectively since and now sit 8th on the table. On the other hand, Sri Lanka faced a heavy defeat against New Zealand in their opening match, but bounced back against Afghanistan to beat them. Their match against Pakistan was abandoned due to rain, and now they sit 6th on the table with three points. Both teams were looking forward to the game to gather points on their way to the last four.
Bangladesh have a concerning injury problem with Shakib Al Hasan, as the leading run-scorer in the current World Cup has a grade-1 strain and is a doubt for the match. On the other hand, Sri Lanka’s hero against Afghanistan Nuwan Pradeep is likely to miss the match with injury.
Rain has been a constant threat in this World Cup, hampering quite a few matches already and is set to be one of the biggest antagonists of this summer’s World Cup.
