Pakistan announce 16-man squad for Bangladesh T20I series, rest senior stars
The PCB stated that the squad selection was largely based on players’ performances in the ongoing HBL PSL X, which is set to conclude on 25 May.

Pakistan have named a 16-member squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Bangladesh, with Salman Ali Agha retaining the captaincy.
In line with their recent strategy of nurturing emerging talent, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has opted to rest several senior players. As a result, notable figures such as Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi have been omitted from the squad. Both Babar and Rizwan have not featured in a T20I since December 2024.
The PCB stated that the squad selection was largely based on players' performances in the ongoing HBL PSL X, which is set to conclude on 25 May.
The series will also mark the first assignment for newly appointed head coach Mike Hesson.
All three matches are scheduled to be held at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, although the exact dates are yet to be announced.
Originally planned as a five-match series, Bangladesh's tour has now been reduced to three T20Is.
