Nila returns as squad for Women's Asian Cup Qualifiers announced

Peter Butler has made three changes to the Bangladesh women's national football team as he announced a 23-player squad for the AFC Women's Asian Cup Qualifiers, set to take place in Myanmar from 29 June to 5 July.
The English head coach revised the squad that held higher-ranked Jordan and Indonesia to draws in two friendly matches in May and June, as part of their preparations for the qualifiers.
Goalkeepers Saurna Rani Mandal and Mile Akter have been called up in place of Meghla Rani Roy and Fardosi Akter. Meanwhile, experienced defender Nilufa Yasmin Nila makes her return to the national setup, replacing Shanti Mardi.
The squad is scheduled to depart for Myanmar in the early hours of Wednesday. Bangladesh will open their qualifying campaign against Jordan on 29 June, followed by a clash with group favourites Myanmar on 2 July, and their final match against Turkmenistan on 5 July.
Only the group winner will secure qualification for the 2026 AFC Women's Asian Cup, which will be hosted in Australia.
