Lionel Messi has become the player with the most assists in football history, recording the 405th assist of his career during Inter Miami's 5-1 MLS Cup semifinal win against New York City today (30 November).
The Argentine had previously tied Ferenc Puskas with 404 career assists on 24 November, but now stands alone at the top of the all-time list.
