Men’s and women’s teams return home tonight after disappointing tour
The men's team, which struggled throughout their India tour, is scheduled to land in Dhaka at 10:30 PM, while the women’s team, eliminated in the first round of the T20 World Cup in the UAE, will arrive at 11:20 PM.

The Bangladesh men's and women's cricket teams are returning home tonight after a deeply disappointing tour.
The men's team returned home after a 2-0 defeat in their Test series against Pakistan. Riding high on confidence, Najmul Hossain Shanto's side embarked on their India tour with the hope of producing something special, despite being aware of the tough challenge ahead. However, Bangladesh's performance fell far short of expectations.
The entire tour was marred by batting failures, and their bowling wasn't particularly impressive either. After losing the first Test by 280 runs, Bangladesh succumbed to an innings defeat in under two days in the second Test. The T20 series mirrored the same fate. Bangladesh was whitewashed in the three-match series, suffering significant defeats due to repeated batting collapses.
On the other hand, the women's team fared slightly better. Nigar Sultana Joty, Marufa Akter, Fahima Khatun, and their teammates are not returning completely empty-handed. As the host nation for their first match, Bangladesh kicked off their World Cup campaign with a victory over Scotland. This was Bangladesh's third win in the Women's T20 World Cup, their first in ten years.
However, that was the only bright spot in this World Cup campaign. Before departing, captain Joty had spoken of their dream of reaching the semi-finals. But after the initial win, they struggled in the remaining group matches. Bangladesh was knocked out of the tournament following defeats to England, the West Indies, and South Africa.
