In an emotional social media post, Mahmudullah wrote, "All praises only for the Almighty Allah. I have decided to retire from international cricket."
Expressing gratitude, he thanked his "teammates, coaches & specially my fans who have always supported me." He also acknowledged his family's unwavering support, giving a special mention to his brother, "Emdad Ullah, who has been there for me constantly since my childhood as my coach & mentor."
Mahmudullah also shared heartfelt words about his wife and children, calling them his "support system through thick & thin," adding that he knows his son "Raeid will miss me in red & green jersey."
Reflecting on his journey, he stated, "Not everything comes to an end in a perfect way but you say yes & move forward. PEACE... Alhamdulillah."
