Heath Streak not in discussion, says BCB CEO
The Bangladesh fast bowling position is vacant after currently appointed Charl Langeveldt requested to leave his current position to take up the same position for his own country, South Africa.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury has said that former Bangladesh fast bowling coach Heath Streak is not in any sort of discussion regarding the vacant Bangladesh fast bowling coach position.
The Bangladesh fast bowling position is vacant after currently appointed Charl Langeveldt requested to leave his current position to take up the same position for his own country, South Africa.
Heath Streak was Bangladesh national team's fast bowling coach from 2014 to 2016 when Bangladesh cricket team seamers showed extreme prowess. Questioned if he was being considered for the vacant post, Mr Chowdhury said, "He (Heath Streak) is not in any kind of discussion (regarding the fast bowling coach position)."

Nizamuddin also added that the BCB has not sorted out anything. "Charl (Langeveldt) just resigned yesterday, we need to plan it out first," he added.
The BCB CEO also disclosed that some coaches have shown interest in the vacant position but they will choose the one who is most suited for the job. He added, "Some (coaches) have shown interest, but we will discuss and appoint the one who is the most suited for us. For now, nobody is in our plans significantly."
Charl Langeveldt joined Bangladesh team after their disastrous World Cup campaign where the Tigers finished eighth, replacing Courtney Walsh.
Heath Streak's time in Bangladesh was a golden period for the side as Bangladesh had found out a flurry of quality fast bowlers in Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman, Al-Amin Hossain and Abu Hider Rony. Heath's time also marked consistent performances from the seamers, which they have lacked in for quite some time now.
