Ben Sears stars as New Zealand crush Pakistan to seal 3-0 series victory
New Zealand had also dominated the preceding T20 series, winning 4-1.

Pakistan's fragile batting line-up was exposed once again as a superb performance from Ben Sears helped New Zealand secure a 43-run victory in the third and final one-day international, completing a 3-0 series sweep.
The visitors were bowled out for 221 in 40 overs, chasing New Zealand's total of 264-8, in a match that was reduced to 42 overs per side after a delayed start at Mount Maunganui.
This result mirrored the outcomes of the first two games, with New Zealand winning the opening match in Napier by 73 runs and clinching an 84-run victory in Hamilton.
New Zealand had also dominated the preceding T20 series, winning 4-1.
Pakistan's batsmen struggled throughout the tour to cope with the consistent bounce and movement of New Zealand's seam attack. Once again, their batsmen were guilty of playing rash shots at Bay Oval.
Ben Sears, an aggressive pace bowler, claimed figures of 5-34, following up his five-wicket haul in Hamilton. Four of his victims fell to short-pitched deliveries. Fellow seamer Jacob Duffy, who was impressive throughout both series, took 2-40, including the key wicket of Mohammad Rizwan for 37 in the 33rd over, which effectively ended Pakistan's chances of victory.
Babar Azam was the top scorer for Pakistan, making 50 off 58 balls, while opener Abdullah Shafique struggled with a slow 33 off 56 balls.
Pakistan's innings started poorly, with opener Imam-ul-Haq forced to retire hurt on one after being struck on the jaw by a fielder's throw while attempting a quick single.
Earlier, New Zealand had batted first after the match was delayed by two hours due to a wet outfield. Rhys Mariu scored a maiden half-century, contributing 58 off 61 balls, including six fours and two sixes.
Several middle-order batsmen for New Zealand got starts but failed to convert them into big scores, until captain Michael Bracewell produced a flashy knock of 59 runs at the death. Bracewell's innings included six sixes off just 40 balls before he was caught off the final delivery, bowled by Akif Javed.
Seamer Akif Javed took 4-62 from his eight overs, though Naseem Shah was arguably Pakistan's best bowler, finishing with 2-54, bowling with good pace and movement.
