Barcelona defender Jules Kounde is expected to miss the Champions League semi-final second leg against Inter Milan after suffering a hamstring injury in the first leg.
The French international was forced off during Wednesday's dramatic 3-3 draw at the Olympic Stadium, and tests conducted on Thursday confirmed a muscle issue in his left thigh.
"Tests carried out this morning have shown that first team player Jules Kounde has a hamstring injury in his left thigh," Barcelona confirmed in a statement, without specifying the duration of his absence.
Kounde is now a serious doubt for the upcoming Clasico against Real Madrid in La Liga on 11 may, and will definitely miss Barcelona's league fixture away at Real Valladolid on saturday.
Eric Garcia replaced Kounde at right-back in the second half against Inter and is likely to continue in the role at the San Siro next tuesday, when the second leg will be played.
The 26-year-old has been a regular presence for the Catalan club this season, making 53 appearances across all competitions. Barcelona, who currently lead Real Madrid by four points, are aiming to secure a remarkable quadruple this season.
