2nd Bangamata-SA Group Int'l Squash Tournament begins in Ctg
Best squash players from Malaysia, Kuwait, India, Sri Lanka, and Egypt are participating in this competition
The Bangamata-SA Group International Squash Tournament kicked off in the port city of Chattogram with the participation of renowned players from eight countries, including Bangladesh.
The other participating countries are Hong Kong, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Kuwait, and Egypt.
Bangladesh Squash Rackets Federation organised the tournament at Chittagong Club from 7 to 11 March.

Chattogram Division Additional Commissioner Prakash Kanti Chowdhury inaugurated the tournament by unveiling the trophy at Chattogram Club on Tuesday (7 March).
In the Challenger Tour-5 competition, the country's best squash players Shohid, Shumon, Roni, and Masum, played against 23 professional players from Egypt, Kuwait, India, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, and Malaysia on the first day.
Best squash players Rahul, Altami, Sandeep, Ravindu Laksiri, Ibrahim, and Seif from Malaysia, Kuwait, India, Sri Lanka, and Egypt respectively are participating in this competition.
Mentioning that there is no alternative to sports in building a healthy nation, Prakash Kanti Chowdhury asked everyone to work together to improve the skill and playing standards of the country's players by organising such international tournaments.
Sahabuddin Alam, chairman of SA Group-- the tournament sponsor, said, "We are proud to be associated with this tournament organised in memory of Bangamata in continuation of last year."
He further said that there is no alternative to sports in building a strong, talented, and capable nation. SA Group of Industries is always committed to working towards this goal.
General Secretary of the Federation Brigadier General GM Kamrul Islam SPP (retd) said, "We are determined to popularise the game of squash and enhance the country's reputation and image."
