Arafat fastest South Asian in Ironman World Championship
Last year Arafat finished the Ironman World Championship as the first Bangladeshi. Within a year, he became South Asian best despite having huge challenges in training.

India, Nepal and Bangladesh qualified from South Asia to take part in the Ironman World Championship in Nice , France.
Mohammad Shamsuzzaman Arafat clocked 11 hours 31 minutes 08 seconds to bring Bangladesh on top among South Asia.
The Indian best timing is 12 hours 26 minutes 01 second and Nepal's best is 14 hours 06 minutes 44 seconds.
