All-women match officials to oversee Women’s ODI World Cup for the first time
oday, the ICC announced the names of 14 women umpires and 4 women match referees for the tournament. Among the umpires is Bangladesh’s Sathiara Jakir Jessy, who had previously officiated in the ICC U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup.

This has happened before in the Women's T20 World Cup—and now, for the first time, it's happening in the Women's ODI World Cup too. All matches of the upcoming Women's ODI World Cup, set to begin on 30 September in Bengaluru, India, will be officiated exclusively by female umpires and match referees.
Today, the ICC announced the names of 14 women umpires and 4 women match referees for the tournament. Among the umpires is Bangladesh's Sathiara Jakir Jessy, who had previously officiated in the ICC U-19 Women's T20 World Cup.
While the most recent two editions of the Women's T20 World Cup were also fully officiated by women, this will be a first for an ODI World Cup. Of the 14 umpires, Claire Polosak, Jacqueline Williams, and Sue Redfern bring experience from two previous women's world cups.

Lauren Agenbag and Kim Cotton will be officiating in their second World Cup, having also umpired in the 2022 edition in New Zealand, where Australia won a record seventh title.
