The Weeknd donates $1M to support LA wildfire relief

The Weeknd has pledged $1 million to assist Los Angeles firefighters and residents impacted by recent wildfires.
The donation will benefit organisations such as the LAFD Foundation, GoFundMe's Wildfire Relief Fund, and LA Regional Bank, in partnership with World Food Program USA and his XO Humanitarian Fund.
Out of respect for the crisis, The Weeknd cancelled his 25 January Rose Bowl concert and delayed the release of his album 'Hurry Up Tomorrow' to 31 January.
"This city inspires me deeply. My focus is on supporting recovery efforts," he shared on social media.
The Weeknd joins artists like Taylor Swift and Beyoncé in contributing to wildfire relief, underscoring his ongoing commitment to humanitarian causes worldwide.
